I am a materials engineer with a PhD in nanoscience and more than 15 years of experience in advanced materials research and industrial project development. My work focuses on the design and engineering of advanced materials, particularly polymeric and composite systems, and on their translation into application-oriented solutions.
My research has evolved from the study of structure–property relationships at the micro- and nanoscale to the development of functional materials tailored for specific applications. Early activities focused on responsive materials, nanocomposites, and structured surfaces, where control of micro- and nanoscale interactions enabled the tuning of mechanical and interfacial properties.
Building on this foundation, my work progressively moved toward an application-driven approach, in which materials are conceived as integral components of engineered systems rather than isolated objects of study.
